Happy Valentine's Day

Well it's another holiday soon. Yes, that's right Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and we're at it again. Our friend Ashlin came home this weekend and took some wonderful pictures of Connor in his Valentine's Day shirt. She really out did herself this time. And she was able to get a few with him smiling as well. So here are some of my favorites. Enjoy.

Bumbo time

We were recently introduced to a new invention called the Bumbo, it's this little chair that is made of hard plastic that enables infants to sit up on there own while strengthening thier muscles so that they can eventually sit up on their own without the aid of the Bumbo chair. When we were over at our friends Jeff and Joni's house was where we first tried out the Bumbo with Connor. Needless to say we were amazed with how well he did. However, it made me realize that my little boy is growing up, and it's all happening way too quickly.

Just checking out the sights.

Looking very serious.

At play with Leah's (Jeff & Joni's daughter) toys.

Attention: We're getting smiles...

We've finally been getting some real smiles from Connor these days. We used to get the "gas" smiles, but now we can say that we're getting them honest. Nothing is greater than looking at your son and his face instantly lights up with a smile. It's gotten where Ryan and I will "fight" over who gets more smiles in a day. It's really fun to see all of the wonderful faces that he makes. So I thought that I would share some of our favorite smiles pics with you...

2 month photos

Again our great friend Ashlin agreed to take more pictures of our little guy Connor. She was unable to take the naked baby pictures that you usually see right after they are born, so we decided to take them for his two month pictures. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures, there were too many good ones to post them all so I had to pick and choose. Enjoy.

A Visit with Grandma Parker

Well Connor was able to meet his Great Grandma Parker. This is Ryan's maternal grandmother. She was unable to visit us this year for Christmas so we decided that we should make a trip to her house. This was also Grandma's first view of Connor in the flesh, she has only seen him in pictures until this point. Needless to say she had a great time sharing this special moment with us.
Grandma loved our little guy, she didn't want to put him down. She loved being able to rock him. She said it's her favorite part about babies.

First shots

Well the new year is off to a good start. However, I don't know if Connor thought that this was the case or not. On January 7th, Connor received his first set of shots. It was a very hard experience for me. Connor on the other hand only cried for about 30 seconds, just long enough for the needle to be in his leg. I on the other hand started blubbering as soon as I saw the needle. I was mean, I had Ryan hold Connor while the nurse gave the shot, and then it was mommy to the rescue when the shots were over. I was told that we were real lucky because he never got a fever, there was no knotting in his legs, and that he didn't cry for a long time during his shots. I have a tough boy that's for sure. Now if we could just work on me. :)

Happy New Year, 2009!

Well 2008 was a great year since it brought us our son, Connor. And what better way to start off the new year then to share it with some of our closest friends, the Garbers. We went over to Tom and Carol's house where we played Uno with Jacob and the rest of the family, and rang in the New Year with sparkling apple cider. It was fun and I wouldn't have changed anything about it.
This is how Connor rang in the New Year.

Christmas Day

Now as a lot of you know we have a very busy Christmas Holiday season. We first go to mom and dad's house on Christmas Eve spend the night, and then open presents Christmas morning, and then from there we head straight to the Garber's to spend the rest of Christmas day with them. We originally thought that we wouldn't be able to go to mom and dad's this year because of dad's surgery, but by the grace of god dad was able to come home on Christmas Eve so our plans went as normal. Connor enjoyed his first Christmas, or at least I think he did. He didn't really say a whole lot on the subject, hahaha. Enjoy these few pictures of our special day.

Doesn't dad look great.

I promise...

A lot of people have told me to update my blog. I just wanted to say that I was sorry, and that I promise to post something new in the next week or so. Things have been really hectic lately with the holidays, and with Ryan being off for two weeks (due to the holidays). But don't worry I have a ton of new pics of Connor that I'm sure you will all enjoy.
