Well I can't believe it that my little man is 6 months old today. Boy how the time has flown. We took him to the doctor and he said that everything is going great. He doesn't think that he will have any developmental issues at all, which is music to my ears. Connor weighed 16.65 pounds, he was 25.75 inches long, and his head measured 17.25 and was in the 5oth percentile. Now I found this funny because I have always commented on Ryan having a big noggin and I guess that his son is going to follow in his footsteps. As you know we have started Connor on baby food and the doctor said that it was alright if we bumped up his feedings to 2-3 times a day, and that we can start giving him vegetable puffs, and little bits of table food. I was pretty surprised by this because he doesn't have any teeth yet, but the doctor assured me that his gums are strong enough to handle it. I guess the doctor knows what he's talking about. We also got his 6 month pictures taken, and I will post those soon.
Love always,
Vanessa, Ryan, and Connor

Green beans
Well today we decided to give Connor his first bite of baby food. We decided to start him out with green beans. Alot of people have told us that we should start him out on vegetables because they say that if they start on fruit then they might never want to eat their vegetables, and this house already has it's fair share of picky eaters (i.e. my husband :)). Any way, Connor has been noticing Ryan and I eating our food for quite some time now. My mom was over last night and she was holding Connor while she was eating her dinner and Connor would follow mom's hand as she ate her dinner, he even turned his head towards her as if saying, "hey where's mine?" So we decided that we should try to give him his food. Needless to say that he didn't really care for it. I got him strapped into his high chair and he was all excited because he thought that he was going to get some yummy cereal, and then I put the green beans in his mouth, and the face was priceless (which has been documented to film). As the time went on though he got a little better. I still don't think that at this time it is his favorite food, but I think that he will learn to eat it.
Connor's first bite of green beans.
Well maybe that wasn't so bad.

Easter Fun
Yes, it's that time of year again. Another one of Connor's firsts. This time it was Easter, and the fun that that brings. We had two Easter dinners this year. The first one was at my mom and dad's house where we had a nice ham dinner complete with an Easter basket full of wonderful candy. Mom informed that this might be my last Easter basket. That next year or soon there after it would only be for Connor. I think I can deal with that :) Then on Sunday we went to the Garber's house for dinner. Their daughter Ashlin (our diligent photographer) had taken a side job this year. She was the photographer for the Easter bunny at her local mall. So she decided to bring that costume down here to Kokomo so that we could have the kids take their pictures with the Easter bunny. I don't think Connor really was quite aware as to what was going on, but he looks really cute in the pictures. Plus Connor was lucky enough to receive two Easter outfits this year...you guessed it one from my mom and one from Carol. They are both too cute for words. Enjoy the pics. And I hope that everyone had a Happy Easter holiday.

What a group shot. I think they all enjoyed the Easter bunny that day.
Connor striking a pose in his outfit that his Grandma Owen got him. Such a cutie.
Unfortunately by the time we got his clothes changed he let us know that he was tired of pictures. But doesn't he still look cute in this outfit from Carol?
