5 months and it's cereal time

Well on March 28th was Connor's 5 month birthday...which meant that now we were able to give him cereal for the first time. It was definitely a challenge. No sooner did I put the spoon in his mouth then his tongue would spit it back out. So after about 30 minutes or so we finally finished his first few bites of cereal. I don't think that in the beginning he liked it, but it's been a few days with it now and I think that he is finally coming around to the idea. Now he actually opens his mouth waiting for me to put the spoon in his mouth. Needless to say it was a learning experience for all. When people would ask me how it went I simply said "messy." Here are some pics of the monumental event. Hope you all enjoy.
Love ya,
Vanessa, Ryan, and Connor
Let the fun begin.

First bites. I don't know about this.

I don't think I like this much, but I'll open my mouth for more.

Nothing but smiles.

Dad's turn.

My how the time flies by...

I can't believe that my little man is almost 5 months old. At Christmas our friends the Garber's gave Connor a baby Einstein exersaucer. And until recently he has been to short to fit in it. Well he's still a little short, but with the help of a board game and a carpet remnant he plays in it everyday for at least a couple hours a day. His favorite parts of the exersaucer are the animal noises (it looks like a Simon game), the wheels that move, and the sun that rattles. Those are the pieces that he always goes to first.

And also with Connor soon to be 5 months means that he will start eating solid foods soon...so that meant that we needed to get a high chair so that he could start eating like the big boy that he is. As soon as we got it home we put it together and yes that was mommy's cue for another photo op...

St. Patty's Day photos

Well you guessed it...another holiday, so let's put Connor in a fun outfit and take his picture. And since we took these pictures so close to his four month birthday it was like a two for one sale. If you were wondering why so many holiday pictures it's because at the end of his first year we plan on making a calendar with all of his holiday pictures. So for this first year at least we plan on doing this every month, just in case you were curious. Anyway, Ashlin did a great job again. So here are some of my favorites. I hope you all enjoy.
Love,
Vanessa, Ryan, and Connor
