Camping With Grandpa

Connor, Ryan, and I had the pleasure of spending some time with dad on our own. Mom had a bowling trip that took her all the way to Reno, so she asked that we look after dad for about a week. Well during this week dad wanted to go camping, and he just got a new motor home. He saw in the Indiana Festival Guide about a Civil War Reenactment down in Rockville, IN at Billie Creek Village. He also noticed that the Crawfordsville Strawberry Festival was the same weekend and that the two cities were only about 20 minutes apart. So we packed up the motorhome and we stayed at the Covered Bridge Campground in Rockville. And we had a great time. Connor really enjoyed the Civil War days...he wasn't too thrilled about all of the cannons during the battle. Oh he did fine in the beginning, when he would let me cover his ears and the cannons fired one at a time, but then he wouldn't let me cover his ears and then all of the cannons fired at the same time, he puckered his lips and let out a big holler. Needless to say mommy and Connor had to go for a little walk away from the action, and once he could hear the cannons in the background all was fine again. Needless to say we all had a great time. Here are some pictures from our trip.
